Fashion and the body, surveillance and the acceptance of our body. Foucault has been one of the most important philosopher of the 20th century, Discipline and Punish is one of his major work. The way he conceptualized prison is not directly linked to fashion, but it could be related to a certain point, especially when it comes to body. The panopticon of Foucault, was referring to the architecture of certain prisons, and  it was made to ease surveillance, a 360 degree surveillance. Fashion and the body, is mostly linked to this concept , we have to look good, to dress in a certain manner, to weigh a certain weight etc. to please the “audience” or to don’t get judged by others, because we are constantly observed. This could be quite stressful and frustrating, and lead to complex, to a rejection of our own body. What about numbers? Numbers are ubiquitous, if we deepen the concept of numbers, we can say that our world is all about numbers, surveillance and fashion are not spared from the tyranny of numbers.
